Step back into time and explore The Whitman Era during the two day Path Through History weekend on June 17th and 18th. Held at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Historic Site in Huntington Station, The Whitman Era includes Old Fashioned Games (hoop game, marbles, ball & Cup), Whitman Era Music from the Civil War and Whitman Personator. Historic Books, Children’s Story Books will be available to read and purchase. Rock Candy will be for sale at the gift shop along with other Whitman historical items.

Path Through History Weekends are a showcase of New York State’s rich and fascinating history and will feature hundreds of events happening at historic and cultural destinations throughout the state. You don’t have to be a historian to appreciate New York State’s rich heritage. Experience a Revolutionary War battle, discover some of our state’s and nation’s greatest natural wonders or relive some of sports greatest moments. From U.S. presidents to leaders of the suffragette movement to innovators in industry, technology and art, it all happened in New York State. You can visit over 500 destinations across our great state. Choose from 13 themes to create your own Path Through History for an experience you and your family will always remember. Path Through History takes you across the state to discover events of the past and learn how they reverberate today.
