Matwaala South Asian Diaspora Poets’ Collective

Join us for an afternoon of powerful poetry and community at the Matwaala South Asian Diaspora Poets’ Collective on September 21st, 2025, from 2–4 PM at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Museum. This free event features award-winning poets Prageeta Sharma, Megha Sood, Ramya Ramana, and Ashna Ali, with special guest Pramila Venkateswaran—past Suffolk County Poet Laureate and co-director of Matwaala. Enjoy live poetry readings, a Q&A, book signings, and a reception. All are welcome!
