Talk and candlelit evening tour of the Walt Whitman birthplace house. Learn how Walt’s fascination with science and the human brain intersected with macabre Victorian pseudoscience. Light seasonal refreshments will be served. Optional: Halloween Costumes! Walking With Whitman: Poetry in Performance – Kelly Powell, Josie Bello & Open Mic

Walt Whitman Birthplace Association (WWBA) presents  Walking With Whitman: Poetry in Performance, hosted by Writer-in-Residence George Wallace. The signature series, now in its 14th season, continues to bring the most intriguing figures in contemporary literature on the national scene paired with local poets on the Walt Whitman Stage. Friday, November 1st, Walking With Whitman will feature poet Kelly Powell and it’s Open Mic night.
