Join us for an inspiring evening of original poetry and live music at Crossroads of Verse—an artistic collaboration by Linda Sussman and Emily-Sue Sloane. Their powerful blend of song and spoken word will set the tone for a vibrant and welcoming Open Mic Night where all creative acts are invited to take the stage.

Whether you’re here to perform or simply enjoy the talent in our community, this night promises creativity, connection, and a celebration of self-expression.
EMILY-SUE SLOANE is a poet who writes to capture moments of wonder, worry and human connection. She finds inspiration in her backyard, at the beach, in the news and in watching and listening to folks along the way. Her poetry has been published in numerous journals and anthologies and has won first-place awards from the Nassau County Poet Laureate Society, Performance Poets Association, Princess Ronkonkoma Productions, the Long Island Fair, Calling All Writers and the Babylon Village Arts Council.
LINDA SUSSMAN is a singer-songwriter whose music is an Americana mix of folk, alternative-folk and blues that digs deep into our shared human experience. Her strong vocals are often compared to Joan Baez, while her versatile guitar style includes open tunings and a touch of slide. The many stages Sussman has played range from the iconic NYC venue The Bitter End to the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame to the more intimate Radio Bean in Burlington, VT. Her music can be heard on radio in the US and abroad and is available on all streaming.
