Celebrate the spirit of Walt Whitman with a peaceful morning of poetry and nature! Join poet Christina M. Rau for a guided hike to Jayne’s Hill, the highest natural point on Long Island and a place beloved by Whitman himself.
We’ll pause to read Whitman’s work, take time to write in the serene surroundings, and optionally share poems at the summit. This outdoor writing workshop is open to all experience levels—whether you’re a seasoned writer or simply curious.
