Known for her powerful explorations of cultural identity, assimilation, feminism, language, and heritage, Chin’s poetry has left a lasting impact on contemporary literature.
Born in Hong Kong, Marilyn Chin is the author of six acclaimed poetry collections and a novel. Her accolades include the 2020 Ruth Lilly Prize in Poetry, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, the PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Literary Award, and a Radcliffe Institute Fellowship. Currently, she serves as a chancellor of the Academy of American Poets and resides in San Diego.
